Exploring Modern Typography

This project was a self-initiated exercise to explore creating a high impact, typographic brand identity that is both loud and precise. The goal was to develop a fictional mark for a cultural concept named "Little Africa," ensuring the final mark was instantly memorable and entirely owned by its custom letterforms, eliminating the need for symbolic imagery.

The Solution

The solution is a completely custom wordmark built around visual weight, dynamic and geometric consistency. The Palette: A bold, saturated red-orange was chosen for its energy and visual stopping power. Paired with a warm white, the extreme contrast ensures the identity translates perfectly across digital applications. The Custom Type System: The logo is unified by geometry but uses two distinct, custom-drawn treatments:
